Announcing Finn McCool and His Fearless Wife

VPA is pleased to present FINN McCOOL AND HIS FEARLESS WIFE. Join the town full of comical characters in Limerick, Ireland, where delightfully mischievous little leprechauns Shillelagh, Shay and Shannon help orchestrate the fun! Between them and boastful Finn McCool, there’s a story hiding behind every bush! Thank goodness his fearless wife, Oona, has been clever enough to get Finn out from between many rocks and hard places.

Auditions are open for students in 4th-8th grade on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 3:30-5:30 at Sherwood High School. Callbacks will be by invitation only on Thursday, December 15, 2016 3:30-5:30pm.

Please prepare a monologue (or “speech”) approximately 1 minute long.  Some things to think about as you prepare – STAGE PRESENCE (comfortable and confident onstage), VOICE (volume, diction, tone, pitch), and CHARACTER (tell the audience your “story”). Check out the suggestions/tips for auditioning and sample monologues.

Space is limited; please do not audition if you have rehearsal conflicts. Sign up for an audition slot here and bring a completed audition form with you.

Tuition is $45 per student plus 4 volunteer hours per student. Students will also need to provide basic makeup, modesty wear, and shoes.
