It’s time for the VPA Showcase Concert!

The VPA presents our FREE annual Showcase concert, showing you our strings, and choir students. We will show you what we’ve been up to since January, and you’ll learn some exciting plans for next year. To thank you for your support we will be treating you to refreshments afterward. Two scholarships for $1,000 from the VPA

Voices for the Performing Arts Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be offering two, or more, scholarships for $1,000 to college bound seniors graduating this year, 2013. To qualify, students must have been active in the performing arts during high school, but are not required to plan to major in performing arts in college. Applications require two teacher recommendations and an essay on how your involvement in the performing arts has enriched your life and how you expect your experiences to influence your future. Our Voices for the Performing Arts Foundation fundraising campaign is underway and we are hopeful that we will be able to award significant grant money to promote and enhance the performing arts in the greater Sherwood community. Sherwood Holiday Parade coming this Saturday!

The VPA choirs will be participating in the Sherwood Holiday Parade prior to the Tree lighting ceremony this coming Saturday at 4:00 PM, and will be singing directly after the tree lighting ceremony at 5:00 PM.

Come show your support for the city and the VPA!

Christmas Concert – yes, it’s that time of year again!

The “Spirit of Christmas–Awe and Wonder” Choral show featuring all the VPA choirs and special guests. This show will include secular and sacred,
traditional and new music with a moving narrative that will get you into the spirit of Christmas fast. Join us in singing the Hallelujah Chorus, bring
your family and friends, and get the special family discount by ordering in advance.

Shows are at Sherwood High School.
Dec. 8 at 2:30 PM AND 7:30 PM
Tickets are $8 for students, $10 for Adults and $32 for a family of 4 tickets. Ticket purchasing information will be up soon on the VPA website, so stay tuned!
