Noteworthy Boys Ensemble, 6-8 grade Boys
This will be an auditioned group for boys who have some experience singing and/or playing an instrument. They need to be able to carry a tune, and have an aptitude for music. This group will address healthy vocal production in a changing male voice. Both unchanged and changed voices are welcome. This choir will focus on music appealing to boys that teaches basic musicianship, part singing and staging. Beat boxing will be explored, as well as traditional male choral music. The goal of this class is fun through music that is challenging, yet “cool”.
This choir is not organized at this time, but will be if interest is determined. A minimum of 8 boys would be required in order for this choir class to be offered. If you are interested in this group, please send us an email.
For the audition, the boys will learn a simple song as a group, then in smaller groups they will rehearse the song back, match pitches, sing scales and vocal exercises.
