Notables/Youth Choir, 6-8th grade girls and boys

This choir requires an audition for new members only. Previous Footnotes or Children’s choir members do not need to audition. This choir continues building on the foundation set in the children’s choir by encouraging good vocal technique, part singing, solfege and theory, staging and choreography and more advanced music. This choir will sing a variety of music including art songs, folk songs and spirituals, holiday, pop and Broadway. It will run after the format of Footnotes in 2010-2011. Footnotes members may also be part of this choir if desired.
New members only need to audition. Mid-year audition sign-ups are now available. The audition date for all potential choir members is Thursday, January 5, starting at 7 pm by appointment only at Sherwood High School choir room. Tell us you’re interested in auditioning here.
Please bring a completed VPA Children/Youth Choir Audition Form with you to your audition. A completed registration packet and proof of payment confirmation is required at the first rehearsal.
Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays in the SMS Portable #40:
- 3:00-3:30 free optional dance instruction
- 3:30-4:30 rehearsal
Tuition
Tuition for one school year, Sept. 13-Dec.13 and Jan 10-May 22, is $205 including some concert attire + $15 polo shirt.

- Pay in full online with online registration, or turn in with registration on first rehearsal
- Pay in four equal installments at $51.25 + 3.75 PayPal fee = $55 for Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec.
