Sherwood Children’s Chorus, 4th – 5th grade, Boys and Girls
Directed by Cindy Christensen, with Jill Spencer as assistant
This choir introduces students to singing in harmony through partner songs, rounds and memorizing harmonies. Skills in solfege, rhythm, and sight singing will be developed through out the year, as well as proper vocal production and diction. A variety of literature will be explored including art songs, folk songs and spirituals, holiday, pop and Broadway. Choreography will be incorporated as appropriate. Regular rehearsal attendance is required as are certain performances. This choir has a tuition fee, and scholarships are available for financial need.
Auditions
New members only need to audition. Mid-year audition sign-ups are now available. The audition date for all potential choir members is Thursday, January 5, starting at 7 pm by appointment only at Sherwood High School choir room. Tell us you’re interested in auditioning here. A completed audition information sheet is required at the time of your audition.
Returning members do not need to re-audition.
Registration
Download the registration packet and bring to the first class/rehearsal with proof of payment or a check for the full tuition amount.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals will be Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30 PM at SMS portable #40.
Tuition
Tuition for one school year, Sept. 13-Dec.13 and Jan 10-May 22 is $205 including some concert attire + $15 polo shirt.

2. Pay in 4 installments with four equal payments of $51.25 + 3.75 PayPal fee = $55 for Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec.
