Children’s Chorus

Sherwood Children’s Chorus, 4th – 5th grade, Boys and Girls
Directed by Cindy Christensen

This choir introduces students to singing in harmony through partner songs, rounds and memorizing harmonies. Skills in solfege, rhythm, and sight singing will be developed through out the year, as well as proper vocal production and diction. A variety of literature will be explored including art songs, folk songs and spirituals, holiday, pop and Broadway. Note this choir will perform sacred as well secular Christmas music in the December concert. Choreography will be incorporated as appropriate. Regular rehearsal attendance is required as are certain performances. This choir has a yearly tuition fee, and scholarships are available for financial need.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30 PM at SMS portable #40.

Registration

Information about registration will be given at auditions.

Tuition 2011-2012

Tuition for one school year, Sept. 13-Dec.13 and Jan 10-May 22 is $205 including some concert attire + $15 polo shirt.

2. Pay in 4 installments with four equal payments of $51.25 + 3.75 PayPal fee = $55 for Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec.
