The Mission of the VPA
- to raise funds and offer grants to teachers in Sherwood for performing arts programs and curriculum.
- produce, promote, and support community choir concerts, presentations, and productions and classes.
- offer a minimum of two $1000 scholarships each May to seniors who have shown exemplary participation in the performing arts.
- to sponsor and support other organizations with on-going commitment to the community in performing arts venues as deemed financially sound and desirable for the VPA by the board of directors.

The VPA offers several choirs and chorales, including
Strings Program
Starting in September 2011, the VPA will offer the VPA Strings Program.
Musicals
The VPA aims to put on one musical a year. So far, our repertoire has included the runaway hit “Annie”, with Stephen Sondheim’s acclaimed children’s production “Into the Woods” coming in November 2011.
Grants
We award significant grant money to promote and enhance the performing arts in the Sherwood District.
Scholarships
The VPA awards scholarships to students who have been active in the performing arts during high school.
